Trip to WVU STEM Career and Internship Fair
January 29, 2020 @ Student Recreation Center - Morgantown Campus
WVU Tech Career Services will provide transportation to the fair in Morgantown. Students must sign up prior to the event. Space is limited. Van will leave Beckley at 7:00 a.m. and will return approximately at 6:00 p.m.
Students may also drive on their own, but do not need to RSVP.
JCPenney Suit Up Event
February 9, 2020, 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. @ JCPenney - Crossroads Mall
JCPenney is partnering with the WVU Tech Career Services to provide professional clothing at a hugely discounted price (30% off!). During the event, students can purchase suits, dresses, sport coats, pants, skirts, blouses, ties and shoes to build a career wardrobe. Sephora will have beauty consultants available to help guide you in choosing appropriate makeup for a professional setting. Pre-registration is appreciated, but not required. Walk in Week
February 10 - 14 2020, 12:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. @ Student Success Center
Times: Monday (2/10), Tuesday 2/11), Thursday 2/13): 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. and Wednesday (2/12), Friday 2/14): 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Extended drop in hours for resume reviews, interview prep, and career fair tips.
February 18 & 19, 2020, 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. @ Carter Hall - Auditorium
This two day event is the place for employers to connect with students in business, IT/computer science, engineering, social science, and more who are looking for internships and entry-level positions. Employers can register to attend one or both days. Students can prepare for the fair by visiting the student site.
Networking and Etiquette Dinner
March 10, 2020, 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. @ Tamarack Conference Center
Join faculty/staff, employers, and alumni at our 2020 Networking and Etiquette Dinner! Students will be taught a variety of helpful skills such as proper place setting, tips for networking, and more. This event is made possible by: Career Services and Trio Student Support Services. Space is limited and pre-registration is required. Contact Career Services for more information.
