Prepare for an Interview

Employers use the interview to assess your transferable skills and adaptable skills as well as your specific job skills. Employers evaluate candidates appearance, attitude, interpersonal skills and your potential to be a team member. The more time you spend preparing for an interview, the better will be your chances for successfully landing that desired position.

Clothes should be:
  • Tailored
  • In good condition
  • Wrinkle & link free

No flip-flops or dirty dress shoes.

Avoid the "messy" look.
  • Well groomed hairstyle
  • Natural nails & makeup
  • Moderate jewelry
  • Mild fragrance (if any)
  • Straighten your tie.
Don't smell like cigarette smoke.

Your professional look should be conservative but still show some of your own personality.
